One of the worst office buildings in fidi. I'm typing this right now as I am awake past midnight thanks to the thin walls and neighbor next door who has 20 people over and EDM music blasting. (yes, this is covid times). It's a converted office building,
so the walls are super thin thanks to shoddy cheap construction. You can hear everything: private phone calls, sex, tv music, snoring, alarm clocks. The main demographics is very young professionals in their early 20s who like to party or underage PACE students who have to party in their apartments since they cannot legally go to bars. The entire building plus hallway smell like weed 24/7. The doormen and management just don't care. After your lease is signed, they tell you that their hands are tied, there's nothing they can do and they don't care whether or not you can sleep since you've signed a contract. Oh and repairs? Non-existent. You have to pay out-of-pocket for plumbing, repairs, leaks, and etc. Overall, a terrible building. Avoid at all cost.

After spending only a few minutes in the leasing office today, I completely understand the negative reviews about building management.
I was looking at a rental unit in the building, and stopped by the leasing office with a question. The woman sitting
at the desk didn't appear to be doing anything, but she looked at me like she could not believe I had the nerve to speak to her.
When I told her I was concerned about something, she simply rolled her eyes and said "I'm sorry, did you have a question?"
If UDR wants to market 10 Hanover Square as a luxury building, they need to much more careful with how they speak with prospective (or existing) tenants. After having this experience, I am seriously reconsidering whether I would want to live here.
I rented from winter 2016 through winter 2016.
