In my 5 months of renting I encontered several days/nights of no power (actually got stuck in the elevator for an hour and had to be rescued by firemen), 2 days of no water and air, elevators broken causing tenants to walk up and down flights of stairs (there are 24 total flights), not being able to park in the parking garage I pay monthly for and rude management (Jennifer is nice and understanding but Brenda is an unfriendly, disrespectful, uncaring and the absolute worst apt manager I've ever encountered) . The folks working the front desk do the best they can but these sucky apartments need more than a few good people working the front desk. Needless to say I put in my 30 day notice and gave them permission to keep my deposit.....and on top of that they still are trying to charge me close to $300 because all the issues they had was not "under their control."
