Nearly everytime I had to re-up my lease, the rent went up. Started at $725 in late 2009. Now as I leave it is $990 per month.
Apparently a 30 day "written" notice is required even if your lease is coming to an end. Despite the fact I notified them
several months in advance that this would be my last least...and despite the acknowledgement of the office manager...they still required me to extend my lease by 3 days because I never informed them with a "written" notice. Now how does one submit a "written" notice? A form is provided by the office for you to fill out. So they knew months in advance, failed to provide the form for me on time, then claimed I failed to notify them.
No guaranteed parking spot. Though there are plenty of extra spaces under the covered areas. Often had to park further away from my apartment. Made it difficult for loading and unloading.
Neighbors were quiet, but often smoked. Hard to keep windows open with a waft of neighbor smoke. Biggest noise was from the trains. Not uncommon to be woken in the night by trains coming by blasting their horn.
Grounds were good. Since I work odd hours, I sleep later in the morning. Often woke to the sound of grounds workers. Kind of annoying.
Apartments near the train line. Not uncommon to see homeless camped down under the overpass.
Several of the outlets in my apartment were loose. Despite my request when I move in to have them fixed, they never got taken care of.
Overall...High cost for what you get. Very few amenities. Pool was barely functional in the time I was there. There's no hot-tub. The club house area doesn't have a gym or a big TV or even free WiFi.
I rented from fall '09 through spring 11.
