My husband and I have lived here for over a year now and plan to live here at least another 9 months (my husband will finish school and we will move then). The location is great, right across the street from Safeway and Bi-mart with Subway and Burger King right nearby. The apartment itself is fine as far as maintenance, but noise is a bit of a problem. We live on the second floor (there are only two floors) and we had problems with our downstairs neighbors and their music. We had to call the managers a few times to get it straightened out, but it hasn't been a problem in months. You can hear water running from neighbors' showers, and I'm sure our neighbors downstairs can hear our toilet flushing and all that (sorry about that guys!), but it's not terrible. We have some pretty obnoxious neighbors that slam their door every time they come and go, so that's a little annoying, but other than that, it's pretty quiet. It's not really kid-friendly, but our son is still young enough that he doesn't need a playground within the complex. There are great parks and trails near, and a free bus for students to OSU campus. The management just changed from Willamette to Property Solutions. Not sure how they're going to do yet. One issue we are having right now is with their lease renewal policy. They limit the number of leases that can expire during their busiest months (June, for example), so they told us our lease could not expire in June. Their reasoning was that it is too hard for them to handle all the work when too many people move out at once. So they told us to sign a shorter lease, then do month-to-month until June. Hello'' We'll still be moving out in June, we're just paying more! I do not appreciate them trying to force us to pay them more money with the same outcome. So watch out for that. We're tempted to move out just because of it. When we renewed our lease last time we got to pick out wall colors and ceiling fans for our apartment, so that was kind of fun. It feels more "homey" now. Parking is fine, too. If you need two spaces, you can just pay $5/month to get another space. Pretty simple. Visitors' spots are a bit scarce, but we don't have many visitors so it hasn't been a problem! Overall, Spring Creek has been very pleasant to live in. Nicely kept grounds and relatively friendly staff. The rent is okay for the town. I would recommend it! I rented from fall '07 through winter '08. ...
