The "amenities" on their website and paper brochure lists the property as a "Gated Community", obviously selling a "security" feature. Then in their own lease, contractually state that "We're not obliged to furnish security personnel, security lighting, security gates or fences, or other forms of security unless required by statute." The gates do not work and have not worked since at least July of 2007!! I am also not the only resident to have complained about this. It is misleading, almost borderline false advertising. Please heed the reviews of others! There is almost always someplace on the property where there is trash left lying around, and unless you formally go to management, nothing will be done about it. I have also witnessed where guests of residents were kicked out of the pool and exercise areas. Management sited that the "tenant must be present" in order for the guests to use such amenities; that it is contractually stated in the lease. It is not. Nowhere in the lease contract, or any addendum, does it state that any guest must be personally accompanied by the tenant to use any such amenity. The property is also slack in their responsibilities for maintaining the equipment and areas of the individual dwellings. There is no regular spraying for insects or pests. The air filter in my A/C unit has not been changed for 10 months. The light fixture in the kitchen was so dingy that when the light was turned on the glow of the light was yellow. The carpet is cheap and worn. It would serve better as outdoor patio carpet rather than for indoor living. The blue linoleum in the kitchen area has some small tears in it and is very outdated. The bathtubs in the upstairs bedrooms were not installed properly. Everyone in the entire apartment can hear a person taking a bath or shower because the tub was not properly set and makes a constant cracking sound. The speed limit on premises is 10 MPH which is almost always violated, sometimes even by staff! All of these complaints were reported to management where the usual answer was "Well, there's nothing we can do about it." The staff is lazy, do not even know the logistics of their own lease agreements, and border on lying (or should I say, would say anything) to unsuspecting new tenants. if you are reading this, I would seriously recommend looking elsewhere. I rented from summer '07 through summer '08. ...
