It was good for my freshman and sophomore year because I was close to campus for classes. But I then moved out since most of my classes were remote. I entered at New York Institute of Technology in the school year of fall 2018

Nice area to live. To live in a great neighborhood — and enjoy all the comforts that come with being part of a tightknit community — you have to be a good neighbor yourself.
There’s certainly no shortage of examples of bad neighbors in TV shows and films
(think Homer Simpson or any neighbor from “Desperate Housewives”). But what does it mean to be a genuinely good neighbor?

It is one of the older dorm halls of Montclair State University, so I had lower standards. A triple room is just a double size room with 3 sets of furniture. Our toilet has flooded and our door swiping machine has broken 3 times in the time that I have
lived here (little over a month). There is always noise outside whether it be students, music from the music hall, construction, yard workers, etc. There is no AC so it is either really hot or freezing in the room. I haven't had any experience of the heat but I here that it does not work well. The staff here also doesn't help much. The RA on duty never knows much about the building or can't help much. The workers in the Freeman Dining Hall sometimes are not kind. I have walked into many foul-language filled arguments. They don't offer a lot of choices for food as well, it's very limited and they frequently have the same meals. I heard that the community here is great, but I haven't met a single person on my floor or any of the other floors of the dormitory. My RA is living on the floor above me so I never see them and they never communicate with us about events or anything about the building. I am only living here because it is close to the dance hall and dance is my major.
