Walker Avenue apartments are amazingly clean, and the facilities are up to date. And maintenance issues are fixed quickly and nicely. The UMBC campus does however have sporadic power outages, so that was my only REAL complaint.

I lived in Walker Avenue off-campus apartments in my junior year at UMBC. It was a lovely apartment which I shared with 2 roommates assigned to me through the school. While I could have been matched with a better roommate, the pure convenience of living so close to the school made it all worth it. The apartment is at the very top of the hill so going to class in the mornings was fast and manageable; however, coming back from a long day was a difficult trek. The parking lot was rarely full but taking groceries from the parking lot up flights of stairs with no elevators was difficult at times. The facilities included a volley ball court, concierge, and a conference/study room. If I could go back and spend all that money on room and board for the experience, I totally would. The rooms were spacious, the living room would impress any guests, and the sound levels were never high. ...
