I moved in March 2022 and recently renewed for 1 more year because the renewal rate did not increase. Here is a list of my PROS and CONS renting at The Madison Bellmar Apartments. PROS 1. Rent is cheaper than most places in the area. 2. Eateries and mall close by and grocery store. 3. Easy access to Highways 45, 75 and 635 4. Apartment is ok 573 sq ft but DOES NOT have a big window to open up for fresh air. The one window with a screen is very small. The tiniest window I’ve ever seen. 5. Easy to pay rent online and easy to submit maintenance requests online. 6. I like the package express area. Very convenient because I travel for work and work late night hours. 7. Maintenance has come quickly when I’ve submitted maintenance requests. 8. Landscaping is ok. They definitely try to keep it tidy and I see maintenance cleaning up droppings from the trees and the acorns. Not much grass but mostly a scenic rock type of landscaping environment. 9. I like the covered parking especially because we have hail sometimes. The spaces just seem so close and small but it’s a great thing they do offer. 10. Neighbors seem nice and friendly. CONS 1. I can never get the leasing office on the phone when I call. It is hard to get a live person. I get a recording 95% of the time. 2. When you leave a voicemail or email they never respond or call back. 3. I haven’t been inside the leasing office much but they don’t seem friendly like they were before I signed my lease. 4. Apartment complex gives off a Days Inn type of vibe but I appreciate that it doesn’t have lots of units. 5. Just recently 4/9/2024 received an email telling residents they CANNOT be outside their apartment after 10pm and if so, you have to show an ID if caught outside after 10pm. I find that very off putting because I’m a grown adult and pay rent to reside here and the living environment rules or policies to live there seem like dorm rules. Definitely WILL NOT be renewing once this current lease ends. It is like punishing everyone for a few that maybe loud and not considerate of their fellow neighbors. Plus I work at night. Definitely off putting to have a curfew when you’re paying rent. 6. The open pool area is sometimes noisy with children LOUDLY playing. 7. Seems like people who use the pool DO NOT clean up after themselves and leave their trash around the nice seating area the apartment has put in place to beautify the pool area. 8. Parking for visitors is not good nor plentiful. So I never invite anyone over because there is never any guests parking spaces on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Sad I cannot have visitors because of the limited parking and I refuse to ask them to park in the Tom Thumb parking lot. 9. They do offer covered parking but it’s far away from the apartment I live in. Bringing in groceries is quite a challenge and a hassle. 10. Occasionally I smell marijuana and it’s very off putting because it seeps through the walls of the very small apartment and I smell it inside my apartment closet and bathroom. I hate my personal items smelling like that. I am constantly spraying Lysol or febreze to off set the smell. 11. The front sliding glass window DOES NOT come with a screen/screen door so I have to watch it when I open it up for fresh air because bugs etc can come in. 12. They send out emails, letters etc about marijuana not being allowed but I still smell it occasionally YUCK ? and that’s even with all of the apartment inspections they do. 13. Walking by dog poop is never fun and I randomly see it. ...
