So back in February, we lost all four elevators for this 38 story luxury high-rise. Unfortunately, we had one to two working elevators for until June of this year when a third came online and the fourth was iffy. That being said, usually one is booked for movers and one is booked for hours for the propertyโ€™s mail delivery service (Fetch) and one is down for โ€œcablingโ€ or other ongoing repairs and that is still the ongoing situation as tested yet again today. We had one elevator at 6:30pm which took 3-4 minutes to get the elevator and then went up to 34 with five stops before we came back down with 4 more stops to G, another 5-6 minutes. Then back from dinner, we waited 10 minutes for the one available elevator and when my husband tried to hold the elevator to let people in, it closed on him. Thankfully he got his leg out but he was outside the elevator on G and had to walk up to the apartment. To add insult to injury, we got this doozy from the leasing office and owners (a private equity fund American Realty Advisors) on July 1st: โ€œJuly 2021 will be the last round of concessions given for the elevators. Our elevators were fully functional for some of June [LIE] and will be the same in July [LIE]. We felt it was important to give the full concession for both of those months due to all that youโ€™ve endured during these past few months [UM, ELEVATORS ARE STILL NOT WORKING]. We are continuing some mechanical repairs for this last month and will continue to ensure that there are three elevators running at all times [BUT NOT NECESSARILY AVAILABLE TO RESIDENTS.โ€ Seriously? The audacity, making it sound like they are doing us a favor. The owners and leasing office (which has no power) are all about money and they obviously donโ€™t care about the welfare of residents as they wonโ€™t let people out of leases, they think that 15% is sufficient for daily inconvenience of waiting on elevators and/or walking up and down the stairs all the while telling us they are all working and expect us to be grateful for concessions. Donโ€™t live hereโ€ฆwho wants to live in a luxury high rise with broken elevators that they are not honest about to the residents or themselves? No one. ...

Elevators will not be fully back online until August. Donโ€™t live here unless you are willing to cram into elevators with no social distancing, wait 10 or more minutes for an elevator and enjoy taking the stairs.
