The management here is dishonest and not helpful at all. They try to get money out of you any way they can and aren’t honest about how they do it. The rent listed is very low on purpose and then in the contract they add on multiple monthly fees much more
than other places. On top of that, they not only charge a high monthly fee for guaranteed parking but also a high fee for un-guaranteed parking. The price for one laundry load is twice that of other places and half the time the dryer you picked was broken. The office phone number doesn’t work or doesn’t take voicemails half the time and for the first month no-one was in the physical office during hours. The office email works great but they never address your concerns and say stuff like “I can’t help with that”, “all fees are final”, “there’s nothing I can do”. For example, most recently they charged my roommates and I all various fees for having to take out trash after the move out day. The fees did not add up and were not distributed properly according to the lease and they never could tell me why. So, they basically took money from everyone as they moved out and hoped that people wouldn’t care because they get back some of the deposit, they’re tired of dealing with the management, and the phones are dead if they tried to call anyway. If you’re wondering why a place so close to campus with a decent listed rent price still has spots available this is why. The best part of living here was all the cool people you get scammed with.

Overall run down and not as nice as seems in presentation. Over hyped and would not recommend even compared to other places I have lived. I normally don't write reviews but I feel I was deceived enough that I feel it my duty to try and warn others. When
I moved in much like others have noted it was dirty and they were not ready for us. Amenities are non-existant as they are always broken. They also have a bunch of small fees and other add ons, which is normal, but to an obscene level I hadn't seen before. I regret leasing here and would tell anyone to find somewhere else.
Recently a sewage smell has built up and I know multiple apartments are having the same issues. We have all put in maintenance requests and nothing has been done about it. It's bad enough I'm worried about a health hazard because if I spend more than an hour in my apartment I get a headache and nauseous.
We were just kicked out of our lease middle of the semester. No compensation just told sucks to be you find another place to live. I wasn't aware they could do this, and I am not sure they should be able to. They will say sorry and that I should contact them etc. in response to this review, but don't believe them. They have avoided me and done nothing to remedy the situation. I consider them cheats and manipulative taking advantages of college students that trusted them (a mistake on my part)

Liberty on Eighth is a great place! The maintenance team and onsite management is super helpful at creating a fun community, with resident events, and being quick to respond. Location is amazing, and parking is always available.

Great place to live. The hot tub and pool break down sometimes, but management is good at getting it fixed. The apartments are nice, and it is super close to campus. Would recommend it to students for sure.

I am not sure where these other review people are living, but it doesn't sound like Liberty on Eighth. I live here right now and it seriously is a great place to live! The management is super friendly, and maintenance works their best to do work orders
as quickly as possible. The amenities are super great, and the apartment itself is super nice! They have a great layout with a kitchen, renovated bathrooms, a living room area, and even a TV provided! I recommend this to anyone looking for housing close to BYU! The location is unbeatable.

I wish I could give you a zero, but thats impossible. So I give you . . . a one.
I could not agree more with the negative things that have been shared about liberty on eighth. Besides living with a roommate that I picked, I had not one good experience
here. I often interacted with the management and two of the young men that worked there were great, but their leasing manager Jess is absolutely horrible. She seems so unhappy and made me feel like a burden asking any clarifying questions about my contract. Her answers to my questions were often inconsistent and the lack of knowledge the employees had or gave me pertaining to the apartment resulted in a lot of lost money on my end.
I am convinced liberty on eighth is the worst place you could possibly live in Provo. I mean sure, there are places just as crappy if not crappier, but they don’t charge you $500 a month plus an “unguaranteed parking pass” costing 20 bucks a month. There are 57 spots in the unguaranteed lot and my parking sticker was number 121 and I know I wasn’t the last to purchase a pass. Because of this the majority of people who park in the lot find a spot and stay there because they don’t want to go through the hassle of having to find a spot somewhere else or park illegally and pay 75 buck to get a boot off their car or get it out of the impounding lot. To advertise their complex liberty says “Liberty on Eighth is one of the most popular student housing facilities in the Provo area. Tons of amenities and only a block from BYU campus. Apply now!” The only true thing in here is that it is close to campus. I don’t know what amenities they are talking about? A pool? A hot tub? Yeah right! Unless you just want to swim in a moldy pool or a cold and filthy hot tub, you can't do either of those. But you still PAY for the so-called amenities they provide. I would wake up in the morning to a sprinkler slamming on my window every morning which was not only annoying because it woke me up, but the outside of my window had so much hard water on it you could barely see out the window. The sprinklers watered my window and the sidewalk outside and basically everything besides the grass. When I would walk to school in the morning, I had to walk on the grass instead of the sidewalk because the grass was dry, and the walk was flooded. Liberty will promote their apartments with free giveaways including apple products, school supplies, and gift cards… but I would much rather have them put the time and effort they spend on the activities and giveaways into making Liberty on Eighth an actual decent place to live.
Liberty takes any opportunity to screw over its tenants if it will save them a few bucks. They know they can do this because there will always be years of new students that they can take advantage of.
If you do end up choosing to live here, may God have mercy on your soul.

I honestly never write bad reviews but I have NEVER lived in a worse place. Management is extremely slow to respond to you. The amenities are always broken. I have talked to them multiple times to express my frustration with them and each time they have
completely dismissed me. I am honestly shocked by how much they take advantage of students. The apartments are old and things break all the time. They will come to "fix" the problem two weeks after you put the work order in (and by "fix", I mean come look at it and complete the work order without actually fixing the problem). If I could give one piece of advice is DO NOT live here, it will be nothing but a constant headache.
