This place is horrible. It is also called "City Park Apartments." My wife and I hate the place. Our toilet has over flowed multiple times and the apartment complex does nto seem to mind. Recently (09/2009) we had toilet water coming from under the walls in the bedroom. The apartment complex has nothing to help with. This place sucks... Do not live here. The money is not worth it! I rented from winter '09 through fall '09. ...

This is the first apartment I have ever moved into...and I feel like I was tricked into moving here. Since I am a full-time working college student, I was looking for an affordable place with adequate facilities for me and my boyfriend. The staff was very friendly to me BEFORE I became a tenant. The model apartment they showed me was just breathtaking and the move-in special was almost too good to turn down! The day I moved in, I realized that my apartment was infested with cockroaches (TONS of them)...it was so disgusting and it nearly made me vomit. The apartment building I lived in was absolutely filthy. There was a nauseating smell that was sealed inside the building which smelled like rotten food. There was always trash left in the hallways like banana peels, used diapers (YES, used diapers), and food wrappers. The construction and building material (such as the cupboards and countertops) in my apartment was very old and dirty. I found several things wrong with the apartment (such as a broken balcony handle, windows that were not properly installed, and a missing light in the master bedroom). These things were never fixed, even after I addressed them to the management. Also, the first day that we were moving in, our truck got towed (even though it was parked in OUR assigned parking spot) because it was 2 inches over the parking line. We were gone from the truck for about a half an hour and we nearly had a heart attack because our truck was missing from the parking spot. At times, it seemed like the security company collaborated with the towing company to make money. What I mean by this, is that when the security patrol notices any ridiculous reason to contact the towing company and take a tenant's car, THEY WILL DO IT, just so they can scam $200 from someone. In addition, this apartment complex is probably in one of the worst neighborhoods. I would literally hear gunshots every other night, following by police sirens. I actually witnessed WITH MY OWN EYES, a car being broken into that was parked INSIDE of the gated apartment facilities (24-hour security, my ass). After coming home from work one night, I was approached by a hispanic man who did not speak English (luckily, I am a Spanish minor so I could understand him), told me he is an illegal immigrant who is running from the cops, and asked me to drive him to an unknown location. Luckily, my boyfriend came downstairs soon enough to scare the man away. What pissed me off was that when I addressed these issues to the management, they never took care of the problem or offered to move me to a different building. When i requested to break my lease, they told me it would cost $1700 even though I was never informed that I would be moving into an apartment infested with cockroaches! I feel like I was tricked because the management's service and attitudes to me completely changed after my residency was locked by an 11-month lease. I'm not intentionally trying to degrade or attack the reputation of these apartments. But honestly, I'm not a person that is asking for a palace or mansion. My expectations are very moderate and average. But the experience I've had at these apartments have been dreadful. I am warning as many people as I can about an unpleasant experience they can avoid. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME AND DON'T MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS. i am saving you time and money that can be well invested into another apartment complex that is more safe, friendly, courteous, clean, and honest. I rented from fall '08 through fall '08. ...
