If you have no other option beside living in a tent under an overpass than this is the place for you. Depending on where you are in the complex its mostly quiet. They finally replaced the windows which was probably a judicial mandate because the old were so drafty you didn't even have to open them to get a breeze. The grounds are mundande and poorly maintained. You pay for a lake view and then they plant a big tree in front of your window. Everything is designed to TAKE YOUR MONEY. There is no assigned parking so if you work shifts or overtime good luck finding a spot. They have "Carports" in the process of being renovated because one almost fell over on a car. You pay extra $50 to have a spot. The pet fees are okay but the breed restrictions seem to be enforced randomly. No Pits allowed yet several of these "Boxer Mixes" I see running around are unmistakably Pit Bulls. Rent increases faster than Rosie O'Donnell's waist-line and, if you try to leave before your lease is up be ready to hand over your first born child in order to do so as you must pay back all discounts you've had on your rent over the term of the lease a months rent. This could equal up to about $5,000 to break a lease. There is a $300 fee when you first rent to use their "Gym" which normally consists of broken machines and treadmills. They finally got some dumbells (up to 50#) The pool is open for about a month and a half so don't really think that's a big bonus. Bottom line unless you want to live in an apartment run like its owned by the Corleone's stay the hell away from Lakeside or you will PAY $$$$$$$$$ but if you enjoying throwing your money away Lakeside is the perfect place for you. I rented from spring 10 through summer 11. ...

This apartment complex is sweet to your face but "sneaky" behind your back. DON'T RENT HERE!!! They do not re-carpet or paint when a tenant moves out and you move in....it's gross!!!! They also have a "24 hour quiet time" where you cannot be loud period. So if your kids run in your aparment or your dog runs...you get yelled at for it. Also, Lakeside apartments HVAC units are old and constantly break down. They left me in the winter a week with no heat and i had to run off emergency heat which my energy bill was + $200.00 twice in a row (735 sq. foot apartment) and they refused to pay for the portion that was over my normal bill when it was there fault. The HVAC unit goes out all the time (about every 5-10 days) and they just come and temporary fix it each time. And if you want to speak to the manager good luck b/c he won't call you back. I rented from winter '08 through winter 10. ...
