The location is great, and the apartments are cool enough, but when I lived there in 2004-2005, there were always people playing loud music on the front steps and leaving tons of beer cans and puke all over the place. The landlord also sent in maintenance without ever telling us and tried to charge us for a door that never existed after we had moved out. Our pipe in the bathroom had to be fixed repeatedly and would still leak, so...And we also had cockroaches in the kitchen, but I blame that more on the fact that we didn't keep our kitchen very clean. You're bound to have roaches almost anywhere in Richmond if you have a messy kitchen. If you're a young VCU student and can afford the somewhat high rent, this place is pretty cool. But I would not recommend it for anyone trying to live in a nice, quiet, clean place. It's definitely for students. I rented from fall '04 through fall '05. ...
