Metro is not the company you want to give your services to. The building is older and not too bad considering this. My roommate and I thought we were getting a good deal $1000/month for such a big apartment, and the old look made it more "home-y" but then....Mice. And the other people who rated them are right. They take FOREVER to get things done. The head ladies in the office do have attitudes. I call just about everyday either filing a new complaint, or asking them about something else they still haven't showed up to fix. The maintenance men are nice and the secretary for the office is also, but the people actually running things aren't. My roommate and I have seen several mice and have caught 4 ourselves AFTER the claimed they put down mouse poison/killer. It apparently didn't work, or they lied. We're stuck here for the year, sadly, but we're definitely taking our money elsewhere next year. I HAVE ONLY LIVED IN ONE OF METRO PROPERTIES BUT I HAVE MANY FRIENDS IN RICHMOND THAT HAVE AND THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PROPERTY TO RENT FROM. THEY NEVER DID ANYTHING!! THEY ALSO LIE ALL THE TIME. THEY WERE ALWAYS RUDE EVERY TIME I CALLED TO REPORT ANYTHING THAT WAS WRONG WITH MY APARTMENT. THE RATING ABOVE MINE SAYS THAT IT WAS 200 WEST FRANKLIN WELL I LIVED IN 1411 GROVE AVEUNUE AND IT WAS THE WORST MISTAKE IVE EVER MADE. I FIRST SAW ROACHES WITHIN THE FIRST FEW DAYS OF LIVING THERE AND THEY HAVE ONLY GOTTEN WORSE OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS. MY MOM CALLED THEM, MY ROOMMATES MOM CALLED THEM AND COMPLAINED ABOUT THE ROACHES WAY TOO MANY TIMES AND THEY HAVE CONTINOUSLY SAID THAT THEY "SENT SOMEONE OUT" WHEN THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF MY APARTMENT BEING SPRAYED WHAT SO EVER.THE PROBLEM ONLY GOT WORSE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. IT NEEDS MORE THAN JUST A REGULAR ROACH TREATMENT. IT NEEDS TO BE TORN DOWN AND CONSIDERED NOT SUITABLE TO RENT. I WOULD NOT EVER EVER EVER RECCOMEN ANYONE EVER LIVING THERE. I WENT TO TAKE MY BED DOWN AND ABOUT A THOUSAND RAOCHES CAME OUT OF THE BED FRAME. THEY HAD BEEN LIVING IN THEIR ALL ALONG. DO NOT RENT FROM METRO, 1411 GROVE AVENUE AT ALL. ALSO THEY WENT UP IN PRICES FOR THEIR APARTMENTS AND HALF OF THEM DONT EVEN HAVE WASHER AND DRYER. FOR THE PRICE THEY ARE ASKING NOW WHICH I BELIEVE IS 900..ITS NOT WORTH IT. This is the worst apartment company you can ever rent from! If you have any choice at all, don't do it! They are the most unprofessional and most ill-managed property owners in all of Richmond. And don't ever expect to get anything fixed. It took them almost FOUR MONTHS to come fix our window that we couldn't open and had no way to get airflow into the apartment. The people working in the office are rude and incompetent. They are trying to charge me fees for damages to the apartment that THEY MADE! This is seriously the worst place to rent from. DON'T DO IT! From the price it may seem like a good deal, but the place is absolutely swarming with roaches, our walls and ceiling were caving in, and the entire building is so old the foundation is crumbling and the whole building leans to one side.
