I have loved every moment of living at Terrace View! From their grounds to the hard working maintenance, and welcoming staff that works so hard to make our community as amazing and rewarding as it is.

Terrace View is a great place to stay for students and soon to be students. There is a very healthy environment and people that live in and around Terrace View. The cleanliness is above average and I am yet to have any complaints about my unit.

Many of my friends also lived in Terrace View. The management is shoddy, like much of the town of Blacksburg apartments. It is not luxurious but for the price, it is very average and liveable. Not the best not the worst.

Terrance View is a great place to stay. When I moved in, I realized the carpets and walls were very clean. I had no problem with bugs or rodents and the neighbors were pretty nice and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay at Terrace View.

Terrace View preys on college students while providing them the bare minimum. When I lived here, there was complete and utter disregard for current residents while begging for new residents. Parking lots were constantly blocked and unreachable due to construction. When classes switched to online due to the pandemic, the internet connection progressively got worse and worse even after repeated complaints by multiple people. Construction starting at 7am and ending at 7pm made it impossible to have a nice work environment. Office staff didn't respond when asked questions. I waited on pet paper work from the office the ENTIRE time I lived there. Never once did they forward me the paperwork I needed even after repeated phone calls and emails, so my pet lived there for free. When construction was going on, the company failed to install the windows properly and water leaked into each room. This was a few days before move out and I told the office about it, but they didn't even seem to care; they didn't even bother to confirm which house we were in. ...

The maintenance and staff are responsive and well-mannered. Every maintenance request after the first 2 months submitted is dealt with within 24 hours. The apartment is brand new, with new floors, the bathrooms have new appliances and light fixtures, new washer/dryers in the unit, and the kitchen has new cabinets. The rooms are spacious and offer lots of storage space. The only downside is that the move-in process is rough! This is my second year living here and they don't have enough staff to keep up with the number of people that need assistance in the first few weeks. If they had more people responding to emails, phone calls, and other general requests, it would go a lot smoother! I have also noticed that they offer significant price changes based on when you sign and how desperate you are for an apartment and if you lived there the previous year. My roommates are paying almost $200 more than me - just because I lived here last year, and last year I was paying more than my roommate who had the master bedroom with her own bathroom. Overall, Terrace View is a great place to live, and pretty affordable given the newness of the apartment, the closeness to campus, and that it is furnished! I wish they would address the issues with their tenants and quicken their response time so they could get the better ratings they deserve ...

I wish I could say nicer things about the staff but honestly even when they try to be helpful they really aren’t. I came to Blacksburg on Thursday and didn’t receive my bedroom furniture until Sunday. I put in a maintenance order 4-5 days ago and still haven’t heard anything. The apartment itself is cozy and comfortable once you get everything situated but the “upgrades” were done quite poorly with no effort to fix the issues, for example broken seals on all the windows so they look dirty and foggy all the time, cracks or divots in the walls and paint, unpainted panels, and spaces between the cabinets or appliances and the walls. It just seems like the renovations were rushed and they chose an awful color for the entire apartment so it’s hard to decorate. The closets are a good size though, the washing and dryer machines are efficient and easy to use. The bathrooms, though small, have big tubs and showers with good pressure and lots of shelving. ...
