The outside of this building looks nicer than the inside. The units have 42” LCD flat panel HD TVs, but they are mounted too high (6 feet from the center of the TV to the floor). This makes for some pretty uncomfortable viewing. If you are not watching TV while standing, or in a recliner, you will get a really sore neck. The bathrooms have cheap fixtures with a plastic tub and vinyl shower walls (or some cheap material). In our unit, the spout for the tub has been installed wrong (crooked) and the tub is not set right so it creaks every time you move your feet in the shower. I feel sorry for the tenants below me. The kitchen is very small with little counter space to prepare food. Except for a small basket under the sink, there’s no room for a trash can in the kitchen. We had a real allergy problem after moving in. We were assured that no cats had ever lived in our unit. We made them clean the carpet several times to no avail. I got a really good vacuum and hit the floors for several days. Some kind of white powder clogged up the vacuum and I had to clean it several times. The allergy problem went away after this. I still have no idea what the white powder was. Parking is $85 for each car, $125 for each reserved spot. It’s not necessary to get a reserved spot as their appears to be adequate parking. You have to go through two gates to get to the open parking and the spaces are very small. The building has an odor that is most likely coming from the carpet. The staff opens hallway windows to air the place out so prospective tenants will not notice this. There is no air conditioning in the apartments. People will often smoke on their balconies and on the roof, so if you open a window then be prepared to smell cigarette smoke and occasional marijuana. It’s common to find all kinds of spilled substances in and around the building’s two elevators and two stairways. I have seen alcohol, bacon grease, vomit, and few substances I couldn’t even identify. The younger college crowd that tends to live here doesn’t seem to clean up after themselves. The doors have electronic locks that seem to fail several times a month. When that happens, you have to find an alternate way into the building. I have to climb a 7-foot fence one time to find a door that worked. If you enter or leave the building by foot on Friday or Saturday night, be prepared to be harassed by drunk tenants hanging over their balconies or sitting on the steps of the main entrance. On weekends, the trash builds up in the trash room and you basically have to open the door and just throw your trash in the room. At these times, the odor is unbearable. Make sure you don’t get a unit near this room. No staff is onsite after business hours, so if you have a problem, good luck. They have an emergency phone number but it’s an automated recording system that is supposed to page someone. Sometimes they don’t return the call and sometimes they return the call 30-40 minutes later and tell you that it will take 40 minutes to come in. Noise is a real problem here. There are lots of private parties early into the morning. You can hear everything going on in adjoining apartments. When anyone enters or leaves their apartment you can hear them because the doors are spring loaded and it sounds like someone is slamming their door. The positive air pressure created from the slamming door will shake all of the apartment doors on the floor, so it sounds like someone is trying to enter your apartment. Don’t live by the elevators because you will hear elevator noises all day long. They make a very loud and annoying “ding” sound every time the elevator stops on your floor. In addition, the elevators have a buzzer that makes noise as it passes between floors. Top floor apartments appear to be the way to go, with no tenants living above you and great views out your windows. But don't be fooled. The building is wood construction and every little movement on the roof can be heard. The roof is supposed to close at 10 PM but residents have found ways to get on the roof after hours and the management has demonstrated zero control over this situation. Drinking and loud noise is commonplace on the roof. It literally sounds like people are doing jumping jacks above you. This problem is not limited to weekends and has commonly occurred between 2 AM and 4 AM. Apparently after they get back from the bars, they like to go on the roof and make a lot of noise. Also, some apartments have no balconies so the tenants have to go up to the roof to smoke. I could go on, but what’s the point. Leases suck. I rented from summer '08 through fall '08. ...

Overpriced, but pretty nice place. Management is slow to respond with repair concerns. Getting guest parking is a pain, parking is expensive($50 per month), monthly pet rent sucks. I rented from fall '07 through summer '08.
