Meadow View East is the worst apartment complex in Green Bay! I used to live there in 2000-2005, and wanted to return to the complex, but the office staff and management has since changed. The application process was a nightmare, I was declined, and am having issues getting my holding deposit back!!! So, buyer beware!!! If you have an appointment to see an apartment, expect to wait. This is even if you called ahead and had the courteously to book an appointment. Do not waste your time with the office staff, because they are very unprofessional, uncaring, unkind, borderline untrustworthy, do not return phone calls promptly, impolite, not empowered to make decisions, are apathetic, bothered by your requests for help, are too busy to give you a proper apartment tour, and are either too lazy to answer your questions, or simply uniformed to give you the information you need about getting an apartment. In regards to the management, they are not on-site. I repeat the management company is an out of state company, which is out of touch with what is happening in Green Bay. They refused to give me a phone number to speak with someone at the management office. I was told to communicate by mail. Who does that anymore? Is it not the 21st century? When I recently applied, it took them two weeks to ???process??? my application. They requested additional proof of employment, references, and personal financial records. I answered all of their personal questions, including sensitive questions about my divorce and family situation, which probably had nothing to do with getting an apartment. So my advice is to not be as honest as I was if you would like to live there. Basically lie to the office staff, so that the out of state management company that probably visits the complex once a year, (if that) can make an ???informed decision??? on your application. Also, they did not give me the option to have a co-signer or to qualify for a less expensive unit. Evidently, you have to put down a $250 deposit to hold your apartment before you can even apply. Plus, there is a nonrefundable $20 criminal background check fee. Good luck getting any of this money back if you do not qualify for an apartment. I am still waiting for my money, and they are giving me the run around about this, too. My advice is to avoid this complex. Look elsewhere. There are plenty of other places to live in Green Bay and you will not be hassled or harassed. They discriminated against me because of divorce, family situation, and temporary financial situation. Plus, they have absolutely no right to keep my deposit and there was no reason to even do a criminal background check, if I did not quality financially. So, if you apply and have issues, expect to loose $270. You will never see the money again, and it will not be worth it to hire an attorney. I have no respect for anyone associated with this complex, because I was disrespected, ignored, and the office staff was very inappropriate towards me during the application process. This complex has the local nickname, ???Ghetto View???. Now, I can understand why. I rented from fall '00 through summer '05. ...
